Six Football Games Televised this Week

Western Michigan at Central Michigan on Comcast Local Friday: Pregame Coverage Begins at 6:30pm

WMU will face CMU at 7 pm on Comcast Local

CLEVELAND—Six football games involving MAC schools will hit the airwaves this week, including three weeknight games.

 

The action begins Tuesday, November 7, at 7:30 p.m. as Northern Illinois hosts Toledo for a MAC West contest on ESPN2.  John Saunders (play-by-play) teams with analysts Craig James and Doug Flutie for the national telecast, with Vince Welch reporting from the Huskie Stadium sidelines.

 

ESPNU will televise the Thursday night Buffalo at Akron game, beginning at 6 p.m.  Mike Gleason will handle the play-by-play with analysis by David Diaz-Infante. 

 

First place in the MAC West is on the line for a special Friday night Comcast Local telecast featuring Western Michigan at Central Michigan.  Ben Holden (play-by-play) and Ty Hallock (analyst) team up for live coverage of the 7:00 p.m. game at Kelly-Shorts Stadium, with a pregame special airing at 6:30 p.m.  The game also airs on channel 21 on Charter Cable systems in Kalamazoo and Portage and on the following channels listed by community: Flint (Channel 98), East Lansing (Channel 18), Grand Rapids (Channel 23), Lansing (Channel 22), Battle Creek (Channel 3).

 

That same time, Buckeye CableSystem will air the Central Michigan at Toledo volleyball match live on its BCSN sports network.

 

Navy visits Eastern Michigan Saturday at 1:00 p.m. Saturday, November 11, for a Comcast Local “Collegiate Clash.”   Ben Holden (play-by-play) and Ty Hallock (analyst) provide live coverage while Clarence Black reports from the sidelines at Detroit’s Ford Field.

 

At 3:00 p.m., Eastern Michigan and Toledo square off for a live televised volleyball match on BCSN.

 

At 3:30 p.m., Kent State visits No. 20 Virginia Tech for an ESPNU telecast.  Doug Bell will handle the play-by-play, with Mike Tomczak adds analysis.

 

That same time, future MAC member Temple visits Penn State for an ESPN Regional telecast also available on GamePlan pay-per-view.  Dave Ryan will call the action with Jay Walker providing the commentary.
