MAC Women’s Swimmer of the Week (two honorees)
Malarie Schmidt
Senior -
Malarie Schmidt re-wrote her own MAC record in the 100 backstroke finals (:55.07) on Friday. On Friday morning in the prelims of that event, she broke the MAC record with a time of :55.25. As a member of

Sophomore -
Dyer broke three school records and two MAC records at the EMU Invitational on Friday and Saturday. She raced to a first-place finish in the 1650 freestyle on Friday with a time of 16:25.12 (the old record was 16:30.70 by Amy Miranda of

Vicky Yu
Freshman -
Vicky Yu had an outstanding meet at the Ohio State Invitational. She broke the previous BGSU record by over one second in the 200-yard butterfly with a time of 2:02:02. IOn Saturday she placed 12th in the 400-yard individual medley with a time of 4:27.13. Yu was part of the 400-yard freestyle relay team that took 11th, the 200-yard medley relay team who took 7th place and the 800-freestyle relay that took 10th.
Brynn Marecki
Freshman -
Marecki broke the UB record in the 100 breaststroke for the third time this season as she helped the Bulls to a fourth-place finish at the Zippy Invite. Marecki won the race in 1:04.11 and also scored a first-place victory in the 200 breaststroke in 2:20.29. The freshman also placed fourth in the 200 IM and helped the 200 and 400 medley relays to third-place finishes.
Alissa Ricard
Senior -
Helped EMU to a runner-up finish at the EMU Invitational. Was runner-up in the 100 (51.69) and 200 (1:47.03) free races, as well as placing fifth in the 50 freestyle (24.25) on the individual side. Was a member of the second-place 400 free relay (3:28.70) team, as well as helping the 200 (1:47.03) and 800 free relay (7:36.88) teams and the 200 medley (1:47.03) team to third place finishes.
Lindsay Hamilton
Junior -
Lindsay won both 1-meter and 3-meter diving at the 13-team Zippy Invitational this past weekend. She scored a season-high 281.50 points to win the 1-meter Friday, missing her personal best by less than three points. On Saturday, Lindsay took home the 3-meter title, setting another season high with 279.80 points.
