EMU, BGSU To Host Non-Conference Foes Tonight

The Eagles will host Canisius, while the Falcons will take on Florida International.

• Eastern Michigan will play its second consecutive home game when the Eagles host Canisius College Monday, Nov. 30, 2009, at 7 p.m. in the Convocation Center. The Eagles enter the game with a 4-2 record after a dramatic 76-66 come-from-behind win against Davenport, Nov. 28. EMU senior guard Carlos Medlock came up with a career-best effort in the win over Davenport, Nov. 28, 2009, with 32 points which included five three-point field goals. His 32-point effort was the 11th best in Convocation Center history. He was 8-of-15 from the field, hit 5-of-10 three-point shots and made 11-of-12 free throws against Davenport...Canisius enters Monday's game with a 3-1 record. The Golden Griffins opened the year with an 89-69 loss at Loyola and have followed with three straight wins: 79-69 at St. Francis, 73-71 at Buffalo and 70-54 at home against Howard.

• In the Falcons' loss to Wisconsin-Milwaukee Saturday, the team had six players score in double-figures. A year ago, Bowling Green never had six players score in double-figures in a game and only had five players reach 10 points once. It's the first time half a dozen players reached double-digits at Bowling Green under Louis Orr. Guards Jordon Crawford and Dee Brown each set new career scoring highs in the loss to Milwaukee. Crawford had 13 points, making all three of his three-point attempts, and added five rebounds and three steals. Brown had 11 points, four rebounds and two steals...Florida International enters Monday's contest on a three-game losing streak and the Golden Panthers are 0-4 on the road this year. The team is shooting just 39 percent from the field and allowing opponents to shoot 52 percent. Marvin Roberts leads three players in double figures with 15.8 points but is shooting just 22 percent from long range.
