Chaz Mye, Buffalo, Senior, North Tonawanda, N.Y.

Mye led the Bulls to their first victory of the season, defeating Morehead State, 6-4 in game one of a four-game weekend road series on Friday afternoon. In 8.0 innings of work, Mye turned in a strong performance on the mound, striking out four batters while allowing only two earned runs and eight total hits.

Danziger pitched a gem on getaway day for the Zips, tossing a complete game shutout in Akron's 7-0 victory over Stonybrook. Danziger (1-2) lasted nine innings, surrendering just five hits in 32 batters faced without allowing a run or a walk in his first shutout victory on the season while adding a strikeout to his line.
Brett Weibley, Kent State, Junior, Duncansville, Pa. (Holidaysburg High School)

With the go-ahead run at the plate in the bottom of the seventh with two outs against Illinois State, junior Brett Weibley entered the game and struck out the Redbirds batter to maintain the Kent State 7-4 lead. Weibley walked the first two batters to begin the eighth, but recorded two pop outs and a strikeout to end the threat. In the ninth, Weibley retired Illinois State in order, two by strikeout, to record his first save of 2010. For his performance, Weibley was named to the Music City Classic All-Tournament Team. This season in 5.2 innings, Weibley has allowed only one hit and two walks and is 1-0 with one save and a 0 ERA. He has inherited six base runners on the year and has allowed none to score.
Brooks Fiala, Miami, Freshman, Carmel, Ind. (Carmel High School)

Freshman Brooks Fiala limited an Auburn offense that had piled up 27 runs the first two games of the series to just four runs in a career-long 6.1 innings of work in just his third start as a RedHawk. He fanned one tiger and issued just one walk while not allowing a stolen base against him in three tries. Fiala also went 1-for-3 at the plate Sunday, as he both batted and pitched.
West Division Pitcher of the Week
Trent Howard, Central Michigan, Sophomore, Hammond, Ind. (Clark High School)
1-0 record; 0.00 ERA; 11 strikeouts; 1 walks
Sophomore Trent Howard struck out 11 in a complete-game shutout against UCF, a team that was batting nearly .350 entering the weekend, giving up just four hits and walking one. He only allowed one runner to reach third the entire contest. It was the second complete-game shutout of his career and helped the Chippewas sweep the Golden Knights in Orlando.

Senior right-hander Morgan Coombs was dominant once again on the mound against a nationally ranked opponent as he tossed 7.1 innings of four-hit baseball against No. 8 Coastal Carolina on the road Sunday ... Coombs did not allow an earned run in the game as Coastal Carolina scored all three of its runs, directly off of Ball State fielding errors ... He struck out four batters and held the 10-1 Chanticleers to just three runs, which is their second lowest scoring output of the season.
Joe Battistelli, Eastern Michigan, Freshman, Allen Park, Mich. (Allen Park High School)

Freshman right hander Joe Battistelli had an outstanding week for the Eagles in relief. Battistelli picked up the win in Eastern Michigan's 7-6 victory over Arkansas-Little Rock, going three and two-thirds innings, giving up one earned run on three hits and fanning five Trojans. Battistelli again picked up a win in relief, as he helped the Eagles hand Belmont its first loss of the season, March 6. Battistelli went four and two-thirds innings, giving up two runs (one earned) and striking out five.
Jeremy Gonzales, Northern Illinois, Junior, Bakersfield, Calif. (Bakersfield High School)

Junior Jeremy Gonzales faced 25 batters over seven shutout innings in Game two of the Friday doubleheader against CSUB. He retired the first seven batters he faced, walked only two and struck out a season-high seven. The only hit he allowed was a bunt single up the third baseline in the bottom of the third.
Mike Hamann, Toledo, Freshman, Port Clinton, Ohio (Port Clinton High School)

Freshman RHP Mike Hamann struck out 10 batters to lead the Midnight Blue & Gold to an 8-2 win over Albany on Saturday. Hamann worked 7.0 strong frames and allowed two runs on to record his team-best second victory in as many starts this season.
East Baseball Player of the Week
Brad Agustin, Buffalo, Shortstop, Senior, Williamsville, N.Y. (Williamsville East High School)

In the Bulls' first victory of the season, senior Brad Agustin crushed a leadoff home run to deep center in the top of the first to deep center to give the Bulls' a 1-0 lead. Agustin went 4-for-7 with five runs in Buffalo's 26-17 game one victory over Morehead State in Saturday's doubleheader. In the nightcap of the doubleheader, the senior recorded his second home run of the series, a two run-shot to deep center once again. His top performance of the weekend came in the series finale as he went 3-for-4 with three runs and four RBIs. Agustin helped the Bulls' jump out to an early 4-0 lead in the top of the second with a two-RBI single dropped into right field. With a runner on first, Agustin drilled a two-run blast to right field in the top of the fourth for his third home run of the series. Agustin's dominating performance helped the Bulls capture their first series victory of the season while improving their record to 3-4 after a 0-3 start to the season.

Redshirt sophomore Drew Turocy was an offensive juggernaut for the Zips this weekend. Turocy finished the weekend with a .389 clip and team-high .722 slugging percentage after clubbing seven hits, including a double, triple and first career grand slam home run to pace the Zips with nine RBIs. Turocy did it all this weekend, scoring four runs, stealing a base and registering his third save on the season in two innings pitched to go along with a pair of strikeouts while preserving a 5-4 Akron win over UNC-Wilmington. Turocy finished 3-for-5 with a RBI-triple and pair of runs scored against UNCW and 3-for-5 with four RBIs and a double against Stony Brook to help Akron win back-to-back games and clinch a series victory for the first time this season.
Travis Shaw, Kent State, Infielder, Sophomore, Washington Courthouse, Ohio (Washington Courthouse High School)

Sophomore Travis Shaw extended his hitting streak, dating back to last year, to 13 games and was named to the Music City Classic All-Tournament Team. He singled to drive in a run and later scored on sophomore Jimmy Rider's two-out, RBI single in Kent State's seven-run inning against Illinois State. It was the Flashes biggest inning this season.
Jordan Jankowski, Miami, Catcher/First Base, Sophomore, McMurray, Pa. (Peters Township High School)

Jankowski started two of Miami's three games this weekend at Auburn, one at catcher and one at first base (his first collegiate start at first base), while hitting .500 (4-for-8). He slugged .875, while belting his first-career home run, and totaled three RBI in the two games. He had a pair of hits in both his starts and totaled seven bases while scoring one run. Jankowski also pitched in relief in Friday's game, as he played three positions in three days and did not commit an error while making seven putouts with one assist.
West Baseball Player of the Week
Zack Leonard, Eastern Michigan, Second Base, Junior, Canton, Ohio (Canton McKinley HS)

Junior infielder Zack Leonard had an impressive week for the Eagles in five games this past week, as he went 11-for-23 (.478) at the dish with five doubles and one home run to go along with four runs scored and 12 RBI. In three games against a previously unbeaten Belmont squad, March 5-6, Leonard went 9-for-15 with five doubles and a home run, including a grand slam against the Bruins, March 5. Leonard finished the week with an .826 slugging percentage and he currently leads the Eagles with a .370 batting average.

Senior catcher Zach Dygert led the Cardinals in the first three games of the Caravelle Resort Invitational as he posted a .455 batting average and a 1.091 slugging percentage on the weekend ... Dygert tallied two home runs while driving in five runs in the three games ... He has driven in a team-high 10 runs this season as he owns a .324 batting average.
Billy Anderson, Central Michigan, Outfield, Senior, Sault Ste. Marie, Mich., (Sault Area High School)
.429 avg.; 6-14; 4 RBI; 1 run; 1 double;
Senior outfielder Billy Anderson continued his strong start to the season, batting .429 and going 4-for-5 in stolen base attempts as he terrorized UCF on the base paths in a three-game sweep of the Golden Knights. He drove in four and scored a run.
Jordin Hood, Northern Illinois, Outfielder, Senior, Hawthorn Woods, Ill. (Lake Zurich High School)

Senior Jordin Hood scored three runs and went 4-of-8 at the plate in a doubleheader sweep last Friday, including a solo home run and two RBIs.
Tim Krofcheck, Toledo, Second Baseman, Senior, Euclid, Ohio (Euclid High School)

Senior Tim Krofcheck hit safely in all four games at the Caravelle Resort Invitational last week, batting .471 (8-for-17) with three runs scored, two doubles, one home run and a squad-best seven RBI. Krofcheck also tallied multi hits and multi RBIs in three of the four contests. He opened the week with a 2-for-4 effort against Coastal Carolina with a pair of doubles, one run scored and two RBI. The following day vs. Albany, he hit 3-for-5 with one run scored. Then on Sunday vs. Pittsburgh, the four-year starter went 1-for-4 with two RBI. Later that day against Albany, Krofcheck hit 2-for-4 with a home run, one run scored and three RBI.
